Should we raise the driving age?

Teenagers are often very irresponsible, speeding, messing around in the car in ways that make their teen driver friend unable to see or concentrate on the road. SOME adults drink and drive but nearly ALL teenagers are irresponsible in the way I mentioned. is it time to raise the driving age, at least in cities and suburban areas where farming isn't an issue?

I don't think so. 16 is only if you go thew classes 18 without classes unless its changed in 4 years. To be honest if it is raised then we should lower the drinking age so they can learn before driving how much alcohol is to much. Personally I think if you can serve our country you can drive and drink but not together lolreply - Cuppajo 2012/06/11 20:18:59

I think that when a person is of the legal age to work they should be able to drive, they need transportation to work therefore 16 is the proper age. A chld maturity also counts when making the decision to get a job/drive so it is up to the individual!!!reply -
Maybe we should raise that too.reply - Charmaine Christo... 2012/06/11 20:48:20
well then maybe it would work, since most places don't even bother to hire 16 year oldsreply - Jasanin Christo... 2012/06/12 01:35:54
I started getting work at 14, and it was really a good thing I did because otherwise I would have no way to pay for the things I have to. College bills and helping my family with money wouldn't be possible. Raising the legal working age would be devastating to a lot of people who need to start working when they are younger.reply
