I mean I have been questioning both of their policies and the policies they agree on! I mean I am utterly disgusted by their agreement on NDAA, Patriot Act, warrantless drones and TSA groping! I mean people might be tired of hearing me bring these things up but We The People need to be real..I am also angry how Romney has not decided if he was pro-life or pro-choice? I mean he just is too Progressive for my taste! He also agreed with Obama on TARP, the bailouts and stimulus! Should us Conservatives and Liberals question Mitt Romney and Barack Obama's policies?

That is our job to do that, we are supposed to be informed citizens.

Face it Romney is from MA, so of course he is going to be a progressive. The point is, Romney is not as bad as obama. obama has too go, that means the way the system works, we only get Romney as a choice. The only saving grace here, is that Romney picked Ryan as a running mate, and wants to undo most of obamacare. If we vote out enough democrats from the Senate and even more from the house, we can then pass legislation that will undo the damage that obama has done. And this also includes removing Kagan, Sotomayor, and even Roberts from the USSC.

Yes they should but then, it's a bit too late for that isn't it Rock as the time to question is during the nomination process to root out people like Romney and expose him.

As you point out, he agrees with Obama on a lot of things and I have probably a dozen topics on this very issue where I tried to warn Republicans about these very things.

Now, we're stuck with Obama vs Romney... a Neocon Democrat vs a Liberal Republican, what a riot ehhh lol.

Of course we should have been questioning ALL policies AND motives from day one! We should also question why they do so much of their 'work' behind closed doors all the time Can someone tell me why the president seems to have 'time' for people of questionablel character; (muslim brotherhood) but not the Prime Minister of Israel? I would like to know.

We are sorry citizens if we do not. But we must also demand accuracy and straightforward statements, and we must ensure that policies are duly explained and not occluded by deceitful trashing of the opponent.

We need to be informed--difficult in a society in which the for-profit commercial media are owned by a few mammoth corporations censoring them and in which one, Fox "News", fought for and won, on appeal in a Florida court in 2003, the First Amendment right to "lie and distort" in reporting the news.

The duty to find truth is far more difficult than it has ever been.

what is told to us and what is real behind the political scenes are the greed and corruption which costs us more and more each day! Government is a corporation full of political dictators who grows from us. Their politics and policies works for them in many ways and works against us as their own greed builds up their debts taxpayers are required to pay no matter what! The questions the people should be asking is how our money is spent, what they have done to earn their paychecks, and who is really supporting whom! But of course even though legit concerns may come back to haunt us later, the truth of things are never really told and are hidden! While Americans suffer, the costs rise and slavery to the government does exist! The justice us common Americans endures for criminal acts has no mercy and you are fully held accountable for your actions. But when it comes to politics and politicians, justice can and will show a blind eye and deaf ears! So who is fooling who?

You seem to understand what "conservatives" pretend not to know and what many do not know at all: our government is being taken over by a small, unimaginably wealthy and powerful plutocracy seeking to take over the government completely. One of their lobbyists, Grover Norquist, has forced (?) almost every Republican to sign an oath to him not to raise taxes on the very wealthy.

Aware voters have a responsibility to question the policies and the actions of candidates, presidents and legislators, regardless of their stated platforms or their party affiliations. Not doing so is why we are in the bind we find ourselves in today.

but this time especially, because for once, we can agree: they suck big time.

Conservatives and liberals, the biggest voter blocs in the country, are not represented by either major party's candidate in 2012.

Instead, we have the secular fascist in the Democratic Party and the religious fascist in the Republican Party. And yes, that's what they are.

Someone should never vote solely because they were born Democrat or Republican. It is the mindless voting absent from the issues that make the Government so inept. We complain about the corruption in government, yet we vote for the same guys over and over because they happen to be a Republican or a Democrat. They have done nothing to help you, just make more money for themselves, yet because you do not want a Republican or Democrat to take the seat, you continue to vote all Democrat or all Republican, when in truth, we all should be voting for neither and abandoning our party affiliations. I wouldn't ask someone to do something I am not prepared to do. This is the first time that I will not be voting for a democrat or a republican if there is another option closer to my views in this election and all future ones, and I was a hard core Republican in every election previous.

This is a no-brainer. ALWAYS question political policies! Always keep an eye on those you have elected and make sure they do the job they were hired to do. Whenever citizens get complacent, that is when chaos stirs. We must keep our politicians honest. That was the entire foundation of the Tea party: concerned citizens that had become sick and tired of politics as usual that interferes with the lives of the citizens. I believe that Romney is the better choice, but that doesn't mean that I think things are going to be rainbows and gumdrops if he gets in. I will be watching his progress throughout his presidency if he gets in, and I am not afraid to call him out if he slips up.

    Question authority.

Question their supposed Constitutional right to pass laws and regulations and "make policy" at all. Yes, the Constitution needs some fixing, but until then it should be strictly adhered to. Politicians should be held immediately accountable, prosecuted and removed from office. Their trick is that the Congress Club is charged with disciplining their own, see how that works?
  • Windy Striker 2012/09/17 07:22:26

LOL, it's the same Constitution, no better, no worse.
The politicians get re-elected for handing out the "greater good", aka marxism. Nothing in the Constitution permits that, but they do it anyway.
  • Windy Striker 2012/09/18 20:44:52 (edited)
    Windy
Yes the Constitution is still the same today, but those in government (and far too many of we, the People) pay it no heed, which is why I said it is better than what we have today. We, the People, need to start enforcing the Constitution as the Founders intended us to do all along. If the politicians try an end run around it, or just ignore it completely as they are wont to do, we need to remove them from office, at the point of a gun if necessary, but better is by immediate recall as soon as the violation is apparent. No one has done that since the war between the States, maybe longer.
  • T A Windy 2012/09/18 01:41:54

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.
    ~Lysander Spooner
  • Windy T A 2012/09/18 20:48:21
    Windy
Lysander is just a bit off on that comment, a Constitution requires that the people living under it enforce it upon the government, and that has been the failure of the people, the people have not enforced it.
