Should the woman in a relationship do most of the housework, cooking & taking care of the kids?

If one of them is a stay at home Mom/Dad I feel they should do the majority of the housework.

If both work outside of the home then split right down the middle.

And if they have kids and they are old enough, there's no harm giving them chores as well.

thats bull!! my hubby was great with the kids. never had to beg him to help he just did what needed to be done.

Once a couple make the decision to live together (married or not) they have committed to sharing a life together and that includes sharing responsibilities. They have now become a system that in order to work at an optimal level they need to work together, sure there are going to be time where one needs to pick up the slack but if that happens too often it may cause a rift and divide.

If both parents work then they should share the work at home. Now once we had a home my wife took care of the inside and I took care of the outside for the biggest part. When it came to scrubbing the floors I took care of that. Painting, I did most of the painting with my wife taking care of the corners and me doing the rolling and the ceilings. I cook as much as my wife does. Oh well enough of that.

Yes, unless the woman is able to stay home full-time. Then at night they can share whatever is left to be done.

Housework can be done by an ileagal alien
Cooking can be ordered out and delivered.
Taking Care of Kids, that's what daycares and schools are for.

1. the first one is only if you can afford it and most people cant.
2. its cheaper to cook at home and more nutrinonal too.
3. i prefer to take care of my own kids thank you very much!! why have kids if you dont make them your priority???

If we're talking about hetero couples with children and "He" is expects "Her" to deal with meals, kids, laundry, etc... "He" needs his head examined.

Do your share of work, take turns cooking, it takes two people to have kids.. BOTH need to be involved. Not just mommy.
