You can go to war and die for your country, but you cannot legally consume alcohol?
Yup, that makes sense.
SHOULD THE DRINKING AGE BE 18 INSTEAD OF 21?!

I think yes, once you turn 18, you're an adult. You can do actual things with yourself!

YES!!!!

Kids die from not being responsible enough and drinking and driving thinking it'll be fine. And there killing others. Not OK. I'm only 14 but i still think it should be raised.

Sad thing is police are the worst offenders. I used to hang out at a cop bar and they were some off the worst offenders I have ever seen.
However, the fact of the matter is that the law says the legal age to drink is 21, and if you are caught drinking before you are 21, you should be punished according to the law.
We are respecters of law, and as such, what the law says, goes. If you want to change the law, please, do so, otherwise: sit down, shut up, and don't drink until you're legal.
When your 18 your mind mentally is still of a 15 year old.
Early alcohol consumption by some young people will result in an alcohol use disorder—that is, they will meet diagnostic criteria for either alcohol abuse or dependence.
It would be very stupid thing to do. Than again, I would not be surprised if our president tried to pass such a bill.
Too many punk ass kids drinking and driving, thinking they can handle it.
Then we see them the next day, in the paper dead.
Survival of the fittest, my friend.
no way should people be given that freedom yet.
i'm only 16. but i know that people at 18 will take that further . i know people drink. but they will drink even more if its legal for them.
i think it'd be stupid.
Its true a big majority of them would take advantage of it. Wouldn't be able to handle it.
Many people drink far more than they need to once they hit drinking age. Twenty-one-year-olds are more mature than eighteen-year-olds. Do the math.
unfortunately, it´s probably too late to change anything now. teens would go crazy and there would be a lot of alcohol poisoning and accidents.
I agree with the second statement.
i think it's just a generally nice thing to be able to get a quiet drink with a friend,as well as go clubbing and enjoy yourself. i mean, it's not like you have to binge drink just because it's legal.
where did you draw that from? just because i live in england?
i like how this has been 'reported for abuse'. some people must be so narrow minded they can't accept other people have opinions?
