Should pregnant women get special parking privileges?

It depends how far along they are. If they're in their first trimester then no. If they're in their second trimester then no. HOWEVER if they're in the third trimester they should.

Yes they should.. I say this because when I was pregnant I had alot of complications and it hurt like hell for me to walk all of 20 feet. Me being alone and doing everything I needed done for myself there were alot of times that I had to walk across a whole parking lot.. There are times when a woman is pregnant that the baby doesnt turn like it should or it lays on nerves and it hurts to walk or even to move but that cant stop you from doing the things that needs to be done. Being pregnant can get hard on the body and if you are like me and have complications it gets really hard. I honestly believe that pregnant women should have special parking.. If a new mother gets special parking in places a pregnant woman should to. But thats just my opinion

Of course NOT. I had 3 kids and never wanted a stupid handicapped spot for my fat ass belly, get real. I don't frequent the malls that have lowered being pregant to a handicapped spot. I wasd pregnant NOT handicapped fool. Walking was good for me and the baby I was carrying, try it, oh lazy fat bulls ! Maybe, just maybe if you are HIGH risk, just maybe. Nothing is wrong with you so walk, it is good for you as well as the fetus !
Girls today are a disgrace, they are having a baby, not handicapped !

Not just for being pregnant. If they have a high risk pregnancy, maybe. But nothing is better for a pregnant woman than walking, even while in labor.

getting my big belly and my 4 yr old son out of the car after a long day can be difficult...it's nice when I can park close by. :) Walmart has Expectant Mothers parking; but that's the only store that does it.

You must be kidding me. Unless you are 60 and high high risk, WALK it is good for you. You are not handicapped, you are only pregant. How lazy !

lol well I walk 30 minutes a day actually; still do and I'm in my 9th month. Helps with circulation. In the dead of summer at 105 degrees though it sure was nice to be able to get in and out quickly. Nothing lazy about it; the spots were there so I used them. :)

For one, when you are 8 months plus you many times can't get in and out of the car in a very tight space. So there are stores and places that make larger size spaces for pregnant moms. These spaces are usually also available when you are toting an infant around. Unless you want your car scratched, you may as well allow these mama's to have some extra room!

In most cases No but there are exceptions. If you are in such bad shape you cant even walk a short way into a store then maybe you should keep your bottom at home because you shouldnt be in a store in the first place if your pregnancy is causing you that much trouble.

This whole whiny pregnant woman atmosphere is annoying, woman use to work farms when they were pregnant and I worked in a production line right up until 2 days before I delivered, 9 hours a day on my feet. During my second pregnancy I not only worked production but also went to night school. Some woman have become such wimps and they use their pregnancy as a crutch to pretend to be glass princesses. Most Doctors recommend woman with healthy pregnancies to walk every day.

I have had two kids walking is good unless there is a very good medical reason but for majority no no no let them walk and be healthy. walking late in pregnancy helps get you body ready for a good delivery. the less you walk the more chances it could hurt a lot worse.
