Should other SodaHeads tell you what you can and cannot write when responding to their polls?

This is an opinion site, and if you ask a question of the general population here, you're going to hear from a lot of people who disagree, and maybe even some who swear! Gasp and clutch the pearls! SodaHead provides a profanity filter that you can implement if you don't want to see "fuckity fuck fuck, you fucking motherfucker" or whatever. Seriously, what is the big goddamned deal.
I recently had someone go totally off on me because he insisted that I use @$*%& when typing words like "bitchslap" in my responses to his polls. Naturally, I refused, but he continued with this rant, which I promised to publish, so here it is. So what do you think, people- should the easily offended use the profanity filter or should they have the right to make us use @#$%&*^ like a bunch of crabby grannies?

BattleBattlerBenji (PHAET) 2012/07/26 16:33:15There's a pυssy filter - um, I mean PROFANITY filter just for the purpose of ...+11Some people don't have the sense they were born with. There is also the block button if they don't like it.

They are evil, Clinton was stupid.
Greedy little bastards.
As it happens I came to SH to hone my 'diplomacy' skills. :-)
. . .So I try to be as nice as I can (for reasons wholly independent of any TOS agreement), and when they're done with me I move on. I'm here till I'm not.
For example:
I can almost guarantee that one of the responses to this post is going to say something involving the liberal party. This poll and article have nothing to do with the liberal left and thus they should not be mentioned as a response to this poll. If it comes up in conversation, that's fine, but it should not be used as a direct response. All you are doing is making yourself look like an idiot and declaring your hate for a group of people without any reason to.
Apart from remaining on topic, I see no reason to restrain one's self when responding to any topic. Censorship is death on the internet and must always be kept at bay.
