I have a idea, How about staying out of other people's business? If they want to smoke pot and have a job and they are not hurting anyone then so be it...

No different then the people that sit at home after work and slam down a 12 pack or more...

Or the junk food junkies that have to have a 2 liter of pop or more a day to wash down chips and dip...

At what point do others stop sticking their nose where it doesn't belong?

A lot of folks smoke pot without being a Libertarian. I am conservative. Yes I smoke but I don't want the government involved in the cultivating or distributing of my pot. I would prefer handling that myself.

I'll only debate people who like to use their critical thinking skills.

People that moan about the 'decline of morals' do not offer a valuable perspective. I have no use for the xenophobic opinions of the far-right, I'd rather listen to a Marxist discussion-- because it would be more interesting. I do not necessarily agree with all moderates and I do not have to like the radical rightwing either.

I don't like extremes on either side. However I enjoy a logical intellectual debate of any sort. I like to hear what both sides have to say & form my opinion from there. You would think that people would be closer to the middle by now. George Washington was against the two party system because people would vote according to their party rather than the issues at hand. Unfortunately he was right, Personally I would love to get rid of the two party system, & teach people to think for themselves instead of being governed by what their party leaders tell them to think & how to feel.

I say leave them all alone and let them say and do whatever they want. The more brain cells they burn, the better! My ex-boyfriend and I use to fight over his drug use. He is only 56 years old and he looks like a old man. He is super unhealthy and has never been able to hold a job. No one will ever convince me that pot is good for you.

funny because i smoke and i am 36 people tell me i look like i am in my 20s. there has NEVER been a time i have not had a job. something tells me pot was not his problem.

All the people that I know who smoke pot look older than their age. My ex-boyfriend started with pot and I am also sure he has done other drugs and alcohol, but I don't really know a lot of people who just smoke pot. If you are one of them, well I would say you are a pretty strong person. The way I see it is.... if it is illegal than you shouldn't be doing it. That is the way I was raised. If the government totally legalizes it, then I believe, we are in trouble, because there are not many people, who will be as responsible and strong as you are. My ex-boyfriend has always been dependent on his parents and government. Hey Hippygirl....I'd like to see a picture of you, so I can judge for myself......well just think about it!

They legalized pot smoking in Washington and it has been determined that because colleges are government supported and smoke free zones that smoking pot on campus is illegal.

It has been proven that smoking robs the brain of necessary oxygen.
So it seems logical to me that smoking, tobacco, pot, cigars, et all the results are the same.

Websites like that just promote group ideology and discourage actual dialogue between different points of view which preclude the possibility of getting other ideas which might contradict or challenge your point of view. That is why I like this site, someone's always their to tell me I'm insane.

Libertarians don't 'advocate' reefers. We simply see no reason why govt should butt into private individuals' decisions, including the decision to use natural products as we see fit.
