Should blocked polls be removed from the hot list?

Typical; some lib asks a question and then gets upset with the answers received.

Its not about honest or rigged; seriously, I see more libtard polls that don't provide any opposing views, only variations of the poster's choice.

But you agree we should have honest polls on the hot list.

Of course they should only promote honest good polls. Abusive stuff should be removed. Same reason for blocking someone. If someone is abusive and nasty to you, you should block it. Nothing wrong with that. On the other hand if SH can see that a particular member has blocked all of one side of an issue, then that should not be promoted to a higher status. I agree with that.

It's mostly the 'RAVE THIS" that puts them so high on the list. People insult complete groups here on SH and they get rewarded for it too.

To be honest i have never seen any blocked polls but for the most part people are going to argue over opinions anyway so let them all have there fun which ever side you stand on. I find it a complete waste of my time to argue with anyone that is only going to see only their side anyway and what is the point to it all. None just my view and only my view. Hell man you got that much pin up frustration go get Laid. Now that will help the outlook right there.

Foxhound, I'm going to be real with you. No side remarks, no bitter replies, none of that.

Blocking exists simply because:

1 - Underage users. Sodahead has to have something so that they have an option to protect themselves.

And

2 - Stalkers, who are not only rude, but down right ugly. People who say things like 'you should die' and ;go kill yourself'. That situation only can get uglier and uglier, and when the Sodahead staff won't do anything about it, you have to do something yourself.

There are people who abuse it, yes, just like how there are people who abuse everything else. Nothing will change that.

Thank you for being real. Fine, keep blocking but kick blocked polls off of the hot list. This is not and never has been about abusers or people with a few blocks. If you would listen to what I am saying above and look at the stats I provided, you will see that. I am tired of repeating myself. I've been paying attention. All I heard is how 'blocking is bad' and things like that.

Perhaps it's just me, I just don't care about the hot list. Those polls are hand picked by people who work for this site. It's never been about 'what's popular', it's about what they choose. Those questions are not 'hot', it's just a farce. It's been that way since I started on here, that's why they don't change very often.

It's not ignorance. If you keep calling it that, then this will turn for the worst. I 'understand' more than you think I do. The people who run this site are very biased. It's always been that way since 2007. They purposely choose polls that they agree with, and they just so happen to be people who block everyone.

You know, I don't block anyone. I haven't since I've started. I've been on the side where I can't answer a poll because the person blocked me for my belief, my relations with groups, and even my icon. It does piss me off and make me angry. However, I'm not going to just sit there and be pissed. I'm going to move on and get over it. There are more polls that are made by people who don't have everyone and their mother blocked.

There shouldn't be polls about hate, or ones that call a certain group of people something, or even biased ones that are on the hot list. But that's how this site has been, and I think it will always be, unfortunately. It's just like the world off the internet. There always will be bad people. It's like Newton's law, equal and opposite reaction. You must have the bad to appreciate the good.

Absolutely. Any poll that is featured should be open to all. Otherwise what's the point of running a site who's catch phrase is "OPINIONS...EVERYBODY'S GOT ONE"?

Foxy, I gave you the answer you wanted on this one, but the choice of answers you gave didn't make it easy. You had a poll that was almost bound to be a winner. Let the other side air its side of the issue, however feeble their position may be. Why are you limiting the answers available to responders to ones that any objective person can see a pro-Blocker would be loathe to take? You're discrediting your own poll, not as much as a blocker does, but a good long step towards as much. Sheesh, you're smarter than that.

My comment merely suggested that answers that invited responses from blockers would have been more probative of the fact that their opposition to our belief doesn't have much basis. You, for instamce, may have been happy w/ the dialogue you had w/ "Dan", but, IMHO, your position would have been enhanced if your poll hadn't illustrated what he was talking about. Don't get me wrong, I find his comment too simplistic, but better phrasing of your questions wuld have made a more meaningful response on your part much easier.

I think scientific polling is not a service that Sodahead can claim nor could they ever claim so if somebody wants to construct a stupid poll where the answer is a forgone conclusion then they can waste their time doing it.... Not too much different than open polls where the answers available are also leading....Nobody puts credence in them but you can't really stop it either...
