    Cash for Clunkers was a terrible program designed to put the union workers back to work at Government Motors and Fiat...I mean Chrysler...eh, same thing. Take tax payer money from the middle class...give $4,000 to rich people who can afford to buy new cars for their old piece of crap car trade in...and then destroy all the cheap cars that come in on trade so that the poor people have less to choose from and prices go up because of the shortage of low end product...only a ploititian could think this is smart.

    He must be getting heat from China. Last time every rail car and cargo ship took all that scrap metal to China for 10 cents on the dollar. Then their were no used cars around either.

    I say not because there is a humungous shortage on used cars and and parts. Also, there are less new cars being sold because of the economy.

    This is so true. Faced this when my 17 year old niece wanted to buy her first car. Good luck finding anything affordable these days. And a financed car for a teen isn't a great idea...

    And Toyota and Honda will once again win most if not all those cars. GM and Dodge suck and fall apart as soon as they leave the showroom floor Ford has a pretty good shot at some of those cars and trucks as well but the other two are why people trade to Jap over American

    This so called stimulus was very temporary and over in a flash.
    Charities experienced a 12 percent dip in auto donations.
    Quite honestly I feel the stimulus was a poorly designed program that hurt used car dealerships and charities.

    Like most of this prez's stimuluses...the results are a temporary fix.
