Should all public schools allow students to recite Pledge of Allegiance?

However, there's a BIG difference between allowing and REQUIRING students to do this. One follows the First Amendment, while the other doesn't.

I say yes as well. To me it still shows a sign of respect and loyalty to this country. It is required of those seeking citizenship. It should be required by our students. I admit that in the when they are young, that they really have no concept of what they are pledging to. and there are those out there who support them having the choice to recite it or not. If the is the general consensus of the country, then that is how it should be. But it should not be decided by a small group or a group of Liberals or Democrats, as is usually the case. To me the Pledge of Allegiance means a lot to me. and it should mean a lot to every other citizen who believes this country is special. But the political Correctness nut-balls find it offensive. Or fear that it is offensive to somebody else. mostly because it has the word God in it.

They should REQUIRE all students say the pledge

Last time I checked they all do however most no longe require it which is the right choice this is a free country and with the whole under god bit having been forced in it's now lost the meaning it once held.

As long as it's not required and they should be able to leave god out of it.

yes, it should be required. it doesn't harm anything and if children want to do a secular version they can.

It is part of the citizenship when the immigrants take their test to become US citizens. No one should complain about that. Do you want to salute and recite the pledge of the New World Order?

If they remove the "under god" part that was not in the pledge when it was written....I MIGHT favor it, but not as it stands now.
And for the most part I do not believe in indoctrinating children.

The principle of my daughters school wont allow it because a many of the Mexican kids are offended by it.

Then they should move back to Mexico... They live in the USA....

Absolutely, Mexican kids and family should not be offended in anyway. That is why they should on their way back to Mexico, VIA Deportation..

why? cause i am dedicated to the school just like any other student we don't neeed a pledge to prove it

you don't need to pledge anything if you don't wish to..If you're in an Aussie living here, you should count your lucky stars...there are 50 of them

We have an anthem too..and it goes hand in hand with being a patriot and supporter of this great nation.
