The reason for the threat. The borrowing continues and the US Debt keeps growing every year. The revenue is less than what the US spends. So King Odumba keeps printing those play money by billion dollars a day.

That is a good idea, only we both know that won’t happen. You will also have people saying it is just .001% of the budget that it won't help, but if they were to cancel all of the unless .001% of the budget it would add up to a much larger percentage.
Because to threaten welfare would be politically incorrect and lead to insurrection,old people and soldiers are honorable thus vulnerable to maggots,worms and bloodsuckers who have forgotten they work for us.....

I think that S.S. had (at one point) soooo much cash in it, that politicians would "dip" into it to fund "special" projects. The $$$ then was never returned. Then...fast forward 20, 30, 60 years, and here we are in this money mess!
Yep! AND, while we're at it-----let's insist members of Congress, staff, President, Vice-President----all of them may never again EXCLUDE themselves from complying with the bills passed and signed into law and make it retroactive and to include any Executive Orders! For one, they'd have to adhere to all of the Health Care Bill----AH, YES, let's also include the Muslims who are exempt from the Health Care Mandate----NO EXEMPTIONS OR EXCLUSIONS FOR ANYONE!! THINK THINGS MIGHT CHANGE?? Did you libs know the above were excluded from compliance???
I totally Agree! BUT obama has came back from christmas vac and he is now demanding a raise for himself and All of congress, so this is not gonna happen .. he wants more spending money now and a raise.....didn't you hear???????
