It's advertising Mr.Clean so I think it's implying that if you use Mr.Clean the work is faster and you can go back to being a parent or something, Or it could just be really sexist.

It beats useless crap like cards, candy, flowers, etc.

The whole Mother's Day thing is a sham anyway. It is a marketing goldmine for the card companies, flower companies, candy companies, etc that play on people's guilt. Be good to your mother 365 days a year and there is no need to do this nonsense.

That is possible the crappiest gift you can give to your mother for a day that's meant for you to show your appreciation for her. Seriously, who buys their mothers something that they probably get every few weeks? At least put some kind of effort into a gift.

And the wording of the ad seems a bit sexist. I didn't know cleaning on mothers days is the job that really matters, Mr. Clean >.>

Besides the blatant sexist attitude in the ad, I have a bone to pick with what the author wrote.

"Mother's Day is right around the corner -- which means you have to get your mom an awesome gift."

No I don't. It'll be gift enough for my mom if I pick up the slack for her in her chores and force her to sit down, read, and watch TV all day. (She might like flowers, though) I don't need fancy gifts to show her that I love her. Stinking materialistic, commercialized society.

I might consider giving her "maid" or "cleaning" services for Mother's day. I bought my Mom jewelry this year but, I would consider it.

Buying my dad a drill isn't sexist is it? Buying my mom a cleaning product that I think she will like/make her life easier isn't sexist. Hop off it dicks.

My god, people will find any reason to bitch about the simplest of things.

It's not sexist, you are just being overly sensitive in this bs PC world. There is nothing sexist about saying Cleaning is a job that really matters. It's not the kind of thing I would get my mother, unless you were going to clean for her.

So, you would rather re-fuse to buy a product and let the house turn into a trash-heap because it was "sexist"? Cleaning is an important job if you want your house to look nice, grow up.

    1. Cleaning does matter, but it's billed as "the job" that really matters. Who cares if nobody's cooking and we're all starving? The house is clean!

    2. "So, you would rather re-fuse to buy a product and let the house turn into a trash-heap because it was 'sexist'?"

When you say that, you make it sound like that the cleaning product advertised is the only one left in the world and if we don't use it, we'll be living in filth.
