1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms.

The first is full of raging fires.
The second is full of assassins with loaded guns.
The third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years.

Which room is safest for him?

Lions will be dead because they haven't eaten in 3 years.

However, it is still dangerous, because if the lions could not get out, or get fed... neither will he.

So he too will eventually die of starvation - - as there would not be much to eat from lion bodies that are 3 years old.
