Let's not forgot 'In Dreams' - what a hauntingly beautiful song. Did he sing anything that was bad? I became interested in Roy when I bought his album 'Mystery Girl' on a whim about three weeks before he died. I listened to it over and over, it was so good. Then I started picking up his earlier stuff and liked it all just as much. That voice was unearthly.
Plus Blue Bayou and all the songs with the Traveling Wilburys. Thanks, Bear - I've had such fun listening to all the songs you and the others have posted.
Considering the size of his discography, forgetting one or two favorites isn't too surprising...and there are so many favorites. He was an incredible artist.
ive always liked crying and only the lonely. i used to hit them both on the jukebox...but crying is my favorite roy orbison song. dam ive been going down the list of songs others have listed....WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED TO REAL MUSIC LIKE THIS!!!
oooh I loved Roy, a down to earth person who would personally go see a fan if there was a request due to illness etc. I miss having him on the planet... I think my fav of his is 'you got it'.
"In Dreams"
I have his Mystery Girl and Greatest Hits CDs.
