Religious Books And There Influence On The Cycle Of Hate.

I suspect that most people who rely on guidance from the words in any of those books would tell you that you missed the point. In my humble opinion it is not the book but one's relationship the the words in said book. You ask, "why do you need a book?" I understand that the point of the book is mostly consistency. If the words are inspired by our God, then we should have something to help teach our children. Perhaps you may think oral tradition to be sufficient. Some of us others prefer something to help our memories.

Your missing the point moose. Why do christians islamics judaic and mormons need so many rules and regulations and a brain when you can't use use it except in obedience to said deites? Why is it illegal to eat shrimp? Why is it legal to kill pagans and tear down our temples? Why are women treated like slaves in the bible koran torah and book of mormon? Why is rape ok in said books? Why are said books full of contradictions and why is it ok to pick out versus that suit a persons views if said books are divinely inspired? Why can't people condense the bible koran torah and the book of mormon into two sentences? Love thy neighbor and if it harms none do what ye will. I have admit ignorance for the majority of those books. The one I am least ignorant in, however, is the bible. Many of the contradictions in it can be explained by filtering them through the lens of Jesus. That he is the incarnation of God. That he is facet of God and a part of God. He did give a two rule system. Love God with every fiber of your being and love your neighbor as yourself. The rest is back story and how we can ALL gain God's favor. You are not condemned by being different. You can be saved simply by faith in Jesus. The rest I know not of. I do not recall the bible stating how or why we should kill non-believers. I do not know the other books to say where they do. That is just a statement of my limited understanding.

Saved from what? Being Human? The bible koran and torah says plenty of times in those books that if your not christian islamic or judaic your going to hell. Im pagan and I don't believe in jesus so therefore im not a christian which means christianity islam and judaism is condeming me to hell. So yes im being punished just for being different.

Are you saying you're being punished with a threat of something you do not believe in? I will not condemn you. It is not my will or duty. If you read these books and feel convicted by them, go right ahead and burn them. It is your own mind and actions that convict or redeem you. Cope however you wish with the information you have regardless of its authenticity or fallacy. I, personally, bare you no ill will. As for others, I cannot speak.

Ah but you see it's those believers that condem me to the christian islamic or judaic Hells that also have the political power to make my life a living hell. Sharia law in islamic countries. Theocracy in vaticah City and Isreal. The constant war in the usa of christianity against pagans and lgbt equal rights. You see how I can get worried about my future on earth? As for burning the bible koran torah and book of mormon. No thank you. Burning books doesn't work to relieve any of my stress. The motto I live by If it harms none do what ye will keeps me from fighting violence with violence unless it's self defense. My Belief is that each religion has it's own afterlife.
