It's cowardly and childish but it's a common occurrence on this site that I have gotten used to. I have only blocked two people for the bullying and constant harassment of others. This is an opinion site and if people block other people for the sole purpose of disagreeing with their opinion then they don't belong on this site.

Never blocked and proud of it.

Of course, there are some people who have legitimate reasons to block, but those are tiny populations. i.e. 14 year old girl being stalked. But I'm a big boy, and I can take it.

The most I've ever done is delete the pictures of aborted fetuses that someone kept posting on my profile.

I've had those pictures and reported her for posting them. She didn't post them privately but in the open on a question. She took them down quickly or SH did. It was terrible. Those people should be banned.

Even if the reply is threatening and totally inappropriate I have the ability to avert my eyes. I was 'pursued' my some moron across multiple posts for a while with totally unrelated borderline threatening rants but I ignored and they stopped after 3 days or so. In the mean time I'm pretty sure my ignoring the posts was causing all sorts of frustration for the poor little guy so I was getting my reward.
