I love it because it's very tasty especially with cool whip, and just screams fall and Thanksgiving, and is a perfect Thanksgiving dessert. I may have some Thursday!
My mother used to make two pies around Thanksgiving, one for me, and one for the rest of the family. I absolutely love pumpkin pie. I'm amazed I'm not round.
While I don't mind the pumpkin flavor, it's the mushy texture that really puts me off. When I think of pie, I think of apple or cherry--real pieces of fruit. Not pumkin-innard mush.
The other day my roommate baked a really amazing pumpkin pie, the first time I've had it in years actually, it was a pleasant surprise to come home to.
I'd say I'm seriously in like with it. lol...I do love pumpkin roll, though. I have a friend who makes an awesome one. But I think Lemon Meringue is my favorite pie.
