When a man and a woman have intercourse, they've got to know that conception is a strong possiblility...In my humble opinion, life starts the exact moment the lady's egg is fertilized...Contrary to 'popular' thought, a woman's body is NOT her own. Her body belongs to the God of this universe, who created her. Jesus died to redeem her, as well as all her offspring...Notice I said "ALL"...Who do we think we are to decide whether to have the baby, or not?!...That's just 'wacked', and then we wonder why our society is becoming filled with psycho-paths...The men who get these ladies pregnant, outside the bonds of marriage, and don't help take care of their future kids should be locked up...I'm tired of Fathers who won't accept responsibility for their actions...My Dad said: If you make your bed, you sleep in it...Tough love, but there needs to be required classes for marriage, in high school, and get rid of the condom hand-out program...

    pro life... of the mother.

make abortions illegal and women die trying to get them. i dont like them but under certain conditions i would get them. mainly if medically necessary or due to rape or incest.

i am currently on coumadin and if i were to get pregnant in the next 6 months my baby would have birth defects so i would have to decide weather or not to go through with the pregnancy.
incest coumadin pregnant 6 baby birth defects decide weather pregnancy

i am not a bible shoving 'you are killing god's child' person. infact i am athiest....

but i am PRO-LIFE.... i once seen a documentary on abortions and seeing that little BABY being literally vacuumed out i can't see how anyone can say it is not murder... its little hands, its little face, legs feet, even the beginnings of finger nails... it was a little person... who had been murdered...

abortion is wrong! plain and simple. it may be the woman's body but it's the baby's life!!

person murdered abortion wrong plain simple womans body babys life

    Personally pro-life.

Main goal, overturning Roe V Wade so individual states can set the standards.

Also, this goes much further than a female issue and beyond an issue of just abortion. We have a broken system of parenthood, legally speaking. The inequities are scary.

What a woman does about her pregnancy is nobody's business but hers! The government SHOULD NOT be allowed to interfere.

IMO, it's a medical decision between the doctor and the human for which the zygote is growing in.

Um, seriously? An embryo is not a person, it's the woman's body, it's her choice. And are you really saying that anyne who has sex is a "stupid whore"? How old are you?

not very. but if someone is stupid enough to get themselves pregnant if they don't want a baby then yeah. i'd call them a whore. (Y)

Contraception doesn't always work. And most abortions are done in the first trimester.

sorry i'll add. excluding rape or if contaception fails.

People rarely use abortion as a form of parenthood prevention. It's almost always a "last resort" thing.
  • PurpleL... Kristel... 2009/07/02 16:26:26 (edited)
    PurpleLegs_abusedcoke
um well usually a child results in having to be a parent. so i'd say it's always used as parenthood prevention. plus cba to carry this on. that is my opinion i'll stick with it kthanksbye.

I meant as a form of contraception. It's definitely used for parenthood prevention, but as a last resort.

You said "an embryo isn't a person" and then in another post you went on to say "most abortions are done in the first trimester."

What is a person? a human being, whether man, woman, or child / the body of a living human being.

This is an 8 week old embryo....First trimester!

post abortions trimester person human woman child body living human

    Point made!

You haven't provided any evidence to prove that an embryo is a human. Try again.

    It has human DNA. Fact!

And? It has no brain activity until week 25. The cells on your finger have human DNA too.

Human DNA is present and at as little as 17 days after conception the baby has a heart beat. There is NO getting around that!
  • Kristel... Shayes 2009/09/28 21:56:28 (edited)
    Kristelle~Disposable Teen
But there's still no brain activity. It still isn't aware of its existence, and it's still the woman's choice. HER body, HER choice!
And, like I said, the cells on your finger have human DNA too.

But having an abortion isn't just about her body. What about the life inside of her? No doubt she has the choice but what makes her choice to take a human life any better than my choice to say, kill a cow for food?
  • Kristel... Shayes 2009/09/30 21:30:57
    Kristelle~Disposable Teen
The embryo isn't aware of its existence--it's not a human life, because it isn't human, it's a potential human.

You have the choice to kill a cow for food, and a vegetarian has the choice to not kill a cow for food. Personally, I would consider it better if people killed and ate organic, locally raised cattle, just because it's far less cruel and less harmful to the environment than sending them to a slaughterhouse. But see? You and the vegetarian both have the CHOICE to make your own decisions about what you eat.

Personally I hate the idea of a slaughter house for a cow, it just doesn't seem right. As for the embryo, human DNA is present and it has a heartbeat, that alone is human enough. I'm walking away already, this is becoming redundant. You have the choice to justify killing the potential of a human life being born. May God have mercy on us because a nation that kills it's own children is a nation without a future.
