I use both daily... I have to use PS when I'm pulling pieces of food art for for my job or when I need to create jpegs into PDFs, etc.
Illustrator, I absolutely love for creating graphics when designing an ad. Or when manipulating a piece of art.
Creatively I can use them both, but would rather use them for specific things as needed.
Otherwise I have found that I can basically use INdesign for most of what I need.

They both serve their purpose. But I consider photoshop my playground. When I get bored I'll go mess around in there for a bit.

Because I can use it to create renderings from elevation drawings of buildings, and I'm used to it, so if I ever need to add titles or make small changes on certain types of files, it's convenient. I've used Illustrator to change logos or titles that were made in Illustrator, but never did get used to it.

I just recently got the CS5 Adobe Web Premium and it comes with lots of programs but I only use the Photo Shop part of it and cant seem the get a grasp of the other stuff like: Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator and Contribute. There is a lot to learn.

Both, though I use Photoshop mostly in my job as I am usually called upon to manipulate bitmap graphics. I have used Illustrator in the past but I seldom work with vector graphic which Illustrator is more suited for.
