Pens, because they don't dull. One of the things that bother the most is a dull pencil. I just can't use it. I'll probably spaz out.
But I also like pencils because I draw a lot, and I use pencils to do the first sketch. So, I suppose I like them almost as much as pens, but just not as much.

I'm left handed so using pencils gives me a huge black mark on my hand, so I prefer pens! :)

NASA spent millions to develop a pen that would write in zero gravity, the Soviets took a pencil. Pens don't work so good in the wood shop either.

but it depends on what I'm using them for. Pens for writing. Pencils for marking lines on walls for pictures or to paint a straight line.
