Take my oldest border collie, she "knows" over 400 words and their meanings, she has over 50 stuffies and knows every one of them by name. and she can count, add and subtract. She can multiply, but hasn't quite got the hang of division. She can do the multiplication tables up to 3 x 4 or 4 x 3, just depends upon how she feels.
