id say drain it completely, clean properly then start over..
its the most work, but it will be the safest, instead of just putting more chemicals into it which in the long run might cost you more money.

It sounds like algie. We had the same problem, bit you can buy a bag of algie killer at any Wal-Mart its cheap and works great. Just follow the directions. Also, you should only use clorine in your pool instead of bleach. We use clorine, algie killer, and water shocker and our pool stays clean and running great. Also make sure you clean your filter or replace it after you get the algie out.

P.S. your filter may be clogged or really dirty and needs changed. This will also cause the green cloudy look.

Check the level of your chlorine stabilizer (the tablets) and make sure you have enough in there. Then, dependeing on the size of the pool, you may have to use 1-2 large containers of pool chlorine (not Clorox) the 2 1/2 gallon size and run your pump overnight. You may have to add some flocculant later to get the dead algae bits and pieces to go away. Than should take care of it. If you live where there was a lot of rain, the chemistry of the pool has been shot to hell and then the heat just produced an algae nursery.

Could be your acidity or alkalinity. Take a sample to a pool company. They will test it for free. Also you can purchase test kits or test strips. Have the pool company help you. You don't need to drain it.
Also remember to run you pump when you are adding chemistry.

Unless you are talking about a whirlpool tub, emptying and refilling a 10-20k gallon pool is not only not cheap, but also not good for the environment. You already have chemicals in the pool, just get them balanced and dont waste that much water.

Fun
