BOOGIE WOOGIE

If you can take your eyes off off the girl in the video clip, the male dancer is superb.
He
never moves his shoulders compared to what his feet & knees are doing. And the top of his head stays at about the same height, no matter what. This is a pianist from Switzerland who plays some of the best Boogie Woogie anywhere.
He
is so BIG over in Switzerland & Europe, that they hold a week-long Boogie Woogie contest every year & all the best players & dancers in the world are invited. In this video he is joined by 2 amazing dancers.
The male dancer even has a haircut from the forties!
Turn up the volume, watch & give it a listen & view!
If
you experience any trouble tapping your foot to the beat, then you had better hurry along & schedule an appointment with your physician. And
it probably comes as no surprise to anybody who dances, that both of these amazing dancers are wearing Bleyer's "Rock & Roll" style dance shoes. (see samples further down this page) |
FOR THOSE TOO YOUNG TO REMEMBER, THIS IS HOW THE BOOGIE WOOGIE WAS DONE!

+1Geez Louise, I haven't had so much fun since I was in a dance band backing up vocalists and dancers doing "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" made famous by the Andrews Sisters. And might I add that this is the best male dancer I've seen since Robert Dubal in "Assassination Tango"! No problem here taking my eyes off the gal; she was ok, but this guy is terrific! Thanks for sharing!reply -
