If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet." (Roanoke).
If you analyze the entire comment, it is impossible to take it out of context. This was his way of giving a shout out to the unions and letting them know that they need him to survive.
It was a disgraceful comment and an insult to the great Americans who labored feverishly to make our country the "Land of Dreams and Opportunity" and not the "Killing Fields of Jobs".
Obama says he was taken "Out of Context." Is this true or a lie?

I'm sure he knows all about when to use singular or plural.
When he said "If you’ve got a business......you didn’t build that".
He was talking about the business.
If he was talking about the roads,he would of said "You didn't build those".
Maybe when he can't have a teleprompter with him,he should carry a Nook with his speech on it...
He probably could of let Biden do that speech for him..
