White House Tries To Ban Fox News From Press Pool
Posted: 22 Oct 2009 08:15 PM PDT
Obama went full-Chavez today, attempting to BAN Fox News from the White House Press Pool– an organization, by the way, which is not subject to government control. (The Pool is a five-member group consisting of ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC organized by the White House Correspondents Association.)
Before an interview with “Pay Czar” Kenneth Feinberg, the Admin announced that Fox News would be banned from the press pool. Unprecedented. This marks the first time in history that an administration had attempted to ban an entire network from the press pool.
The good news: the other networks objected. They told the White House that if Fox were banned, none of the other networks would participate. Smart. They’re realizing pretty quickly that they could be next on the White House “enemies” list if this crap continues. The Admin backed off, but in retaliation restricted each network to a two-minute interview instead of the usual five. Can’t you just picture Barry stomping his feet like a two-year-old?
Hope For America has the video report.
