I've never tried Chicago style but just based on that picture, I doubt I'd be able to keep it down. Is there any bread with that cheese and sauce?! I'd still try it but I've never seen it anywhere.

All the toppings are stuffed inside. The main problem with Chicago-style is that it takes too long to make.

So I can eat it with my hands, the way you're supposed to eat pizza.

Most of the time, that is. But, I have been known to enjoy a deep dish from time to time. Uno's makes a great frozen pie, though, and when it is on sale, I do partake.

I actually like Chicago-style more than New York style. It's not just the bread (I hate eating crusts). It's the sauce, the cheese and the ingredients. It truly is a pie. Now I will fight to the death on the issue between Chicago style hot dogs and New York style hot dogs (yech!!!!)

I couldn't agree with you more on both. Chicago style hot dogs are the only ones I'll eat. Just about everything in Chicago is better (especially the hospitality.) Chicago is a much friendlier and cleaner city than New York. The weather in New York may be a tad better, but I liked everything else about Chicago more. The only thing I didn't like was the failing infrastructure and abandoned buildings, but I'm sure that's just as big a problem in New York. Maybe Rahm Emanuel can do something about that.

Well, he's certainly standing up to the extremely powerful Chicago Teachers Union. Those crybaby Bolsheviks want a 30% pay raise for 2 hours of extra "filler" work.

He's making them do their jobs and earn every penny of it. I have no problem with unions as long as they make their people work. They're certainly better than austerity, but they should be given merit pay rather than have their salaries based on tenure. Since he got rid of the half days and made the schools stay open 2 hours longer, the crime rate has gone down in Chicago. I know this because I lived there at the time.

Crime is skyrocketing now. Every single time the temperature hits above 85 degrees people get the urge to kill each other. I've almost had the urge to teach gang members how to shoot so they kill who they want to kill and not innocent bystanders.....but that would be too Machiavellian to think of ;-)

Why don't you just line all the gang members up and shoot them yourself? Then you'd be doing a huge community service.

Problem with gang members is that once you kill one, 5 more are recruited. IL just signed a RICO-like law that goes after street gangs the same way its older sibling went after the mafia.

Well I hope that's a good thing. Then they can start hanging those little bastards from the tallest trees. I wish they did it the way they did in old Westerns in pubic squares.

lol we were so cruel back then. At least in those days you were still granted a decent funeral. There was a time when you were hanged, you were left there until your carcass fell off the rope.

I've had both. New York style in new York and Chicago style in Chicago and I gotta say, New York makes some bomb freakin pizza. The best pizza I've ever had was in New York and unless you've had it you cant disagree.
