Okay, so it's a meat substitute. But what IS it? See, you are what you east, and eating too much of any one thing is not good either. Some physicians feel that the 'feminization' of men relates to the amount of soy (full of plant estrogens) in the diet.
The other thing is.....why, if you're a vegetarian/vegan, would you even want fake meat? Why even pretend to eat what offends you?
New "fake chicken" flying off the shelves. Would YOU try the new meat substitute, "Beyond Meat"?

In San Francisco, where so many food trends start, fake chicken is flying out the door. At Whole Foods in the Haight-Ashbury, a week's supply of the new meat-substitute, called Beyond Meat, sold out in two days.

Ethan Brown, founder the company that makes the pseudo-chicken (both
company and product are named Beyond Meat) says his technology can
fabricate beef or pork or fish. "Chicken just happened to be our first
product." He hopes his chicken will be the breakout product in a sleepy
niche--meat alternatives. The $340 million market, according to research
firm Mintel, is growing at 3 percent and 5 percent a year.

Better yet? Its CHEAP compared to many meats and other meat substitutes. According to Bittman, some fake meats sell for upwards of $12 a pound.
Beyond Meat can sell for less than that and less than chicken. Says
Brown, "Our goal is to have the price be at the lower end of other
meat-substitutes and below the price of meat."

This stuf is ? ? ?
. ...Just what exactly is in this stuff?!.....
Seriously ..
does ANYONE know what is in this 'FAUX' product?
I'll choose the REAL Chicken .. each and every time ..
since I know what it is .. I know the butcher personally ..
and yes, I do the cooking myself too ..
(and it is FAR less expensive than the FAUX whatever it is here)
Isn't natural chicken flavor......chicken?
