Name something that turned out better than you expected.

Last year, I almost didn't bother going into my Property exam. I was running late because traffic was unexpectedly horrible, and I didn't think it was worth it because I'd probably fail, and even if I passed the exam, I'd probably fail the subject (I was on 25% because I didn't do the essay assignment).

I decided to go in even though I was 15 minutes late. The exam was marginally easier than I expected. We don't get specific exam results, but I got a P1 (55-65%) for the subject so I must have done pretty well to work my way up from 25%. I was truly amazed not to have failed.
You!

Donkey Kong Country Returns. I didn't have all that high hopes for it but it ended up being extremely good. Extremely.

My ex moving into my spare bedroom. He has been a big help and isn't trying to get in MY bed, so I am happy with the arrangement we have.

Omg. I'm so sad now. Not that I'm pregs or anything, but ya know...one day....

Edit: I've heard of some women orgasming during childbirth, so it sounded legit that it might be easy for some women...especially if they had a really fast labour.

Those women were messed up. I had 20 hours of the worst period pain of my life. By the time the birth happened, I didn't even know what was going on.

I would do anything to have that lol. I have scoliosis and the risks are too great to have it. The gas is wonderful though. My doctor said I was hogging it :P

I read that you couldn't have the epidural because of scoliosis.

I tell you, my 2nd delivery was a disaster- it went spinal which is one of the worst experiences EVER!

be thankful you didn't get one! oy vey..

oh, I'm surely not the only one it has happened to and I won't be the last!

that lie about how you forget the pain of childbirth= I laugh at those who say that.. pregnancy itself is hard.

Don't I know it, baby number two on the way, with 3 1/2 months to go.
I'm way more terrified this time, because I know what to expect!

Yes - when I was in college I went into a sort of existential crisis and I didn't take the final exam in one of my genetics classes. I expected to be given a fail, and thought I would just go to another school and go into liberal arts which I liked better anyway. The professor gave me an incomplete instead of a fail. Because of that I went back to the same school, retook the class for an A, and graduated solidly with a BS in genetics.

I wanted to, but I was unsuccessful in finding work. I really wanted to work for Genentech. PhD's were doing the entry-level jobs that would have gone to someone like me. Ended up going to med school instead.

What's a property exam? I'm glad you did well although I'm surprised 55-65 is passing.
The only thing I can think of is when I got Laid off from a high paying job and felt doomed a few years ago. Well I hated that job anyway. It took me almost a year to find a new one but it is so much better than the other and pays almost as much. It's worth sacrificing a little salary for a better environment and not great but better benefits.

Oh, thanks. Law is a very difficult study for sure. My ancestors were lawyers. I should be one but didn't get the opportunity to study that. I have some college but not enough. Maybe by the time I'm 70 I'll have my degree ;) Good luck and hang in there! Don't ever give up like I sort of did.

I was contemplating leaving my workplace because there was so much B.S. going on, and it was getting worse and worse. Well unexpectedly, the position of Housekeeping Supervisor came up. I recently received that promotion, and now I feel better about things because I'll have more control over what happens, namely no more B.S. if I can help it!!!! Having the support of the Administrators definitely helps!!
