It's the best of both. You get the cake-like deliciousness of doughnuts, AND the pleasing, easy to eat shape of a muffin. Everyone wins.

wow, all of those look amazing. I try to stay away from donuts but sometimes tempation is just too much. Muffins are kind of a middle ground; I like blueberry and apple cinnamon :)

Don't do this to me! I'm struggling right now (drool). There's a place on 14th St. and 7th Ave (NYC), that sells the best oreo cookie muffins. They put them right in the window. No fair.

On a Girls' Night Out I had a dessert that was to die for--hot, fresh baked chocolate & vanilla doughnut holes, dusted in powdered sugar, and served with warm caramel and chocolate sauces for dipping!! Oh, talk about manna from heaven! Still, I tried to be good, and shared it three ways.
