AND a great way to become an organ / tissue donor.
And the greatest part of that, is that you have NO CHOICE in who your organs or tissues go to.
No matter how self-serving you were in life....you end up getting your chassis stripped so that others may benefit regardless of how you may have thought of them in life.
    .
    I love it.

They are fun to ride, but they are very dangerous, there is no protection at all.

I could just as easily go with the other vote. Explanation time:

My youngest son asked me what's the best way to learn to ride. I told him to get an old trashy dirt bike or minibike and run the wheel off of it around the property. When he was perfectly comfortable on it, get something a little bigger - I mentioned the KLR 250. Ride that thing around the dirt roads close to home, and around the property until he put two or three thousand miles on it. Then, and only then, would he be ready to consider a street bike in the 500 cc range.

The boy took my advice, and he took a number of spills at low speeds - all of which he survived without serious injury. Today, his main ride is a Yamaha 600. It's fast and powerful, but he treats it with the respect that it deserves.

Far to many people run out and buy a 750 or larger bike, and hit the highway, only to get killed or crippled for life.

My own ride is a little old 1982 Honda GL500 - the old Silverwing Interstate - not to be confused with the gay little scooter being sold with the Silverwing badge today. The 500 will run a steady 100 mph all day long - not very fast for a bike, but more than fast enough for US highways.

Start small, ride off road, and listen to veteran rider's advice. Always respect your machine, and...

Great for some, they are wonderful during the summer, not so great in the winter. They all sound like maytag washers gone bad.

"They all sound like maytag washers gone bad."

You're accustomed to V-twins like Harley Davidson makes. Or maybe a 1-cylinder "thumper". You should listen to a sweet running inline 4-cylinder sometime. Sweet, smooth, raw power - no vibrations, no hammering, none of that "boom boom boom boom" noise.

I think motorcycles are exciting and fun but can also be dangerous but all in all it depends on the driver and the situation I know many people who's loved ones had died from them but they died of something they love so all in all be careful motorcyclist but also they are super cool and amazing to ride on

I know motorcycles can be dangerous (especially when they go between cars & there are many drivers who simply don't see them) but I also think that they look cook. My friend, Espania has a motorcycle.

Yes, I had a motor cycle for six weeks and nearly killed myself six times. I have seen motorcycle riders of twenty years be crippled for life by accidents.

you didn't give other as a response.
I'm not interested in motorcycles even though I have been through the motorcycle aptitude test and passed it. I have a certificate.

The only thing about motorcycles that can touch me is Thom Gunn's poem called "On the move" I grok it

    excerpt

On motorcycles, up the road, they come:
Small, black, as flies hanging in heat, the Boys,
Until the distance throws them forth, their hum
Bulges to thunder held by calf and thigh.
    In goggles, donned impersonality,
In gleaming jackets trophied with the dust,
They strap in doubt--by hiding it, robust--
And almost hear a meaning in their noise.

    Exact conclusion of their hardiness
Has no shape yet, but from known whereabouts
They ride, directions where the tires press.
They scare a flight of birds across the field:
Much that is natural, to the will must yield.
Men manufacture both machine and soul,
And use what they imperfectly control
To dare a future from the taken routes.

Yeah normally I do have an other option but I didn't want one for this one, as I thought people might avoid the first two choices and say both can be true. I decided to go with only two for this one.
