For so many of us, mama always knows best in our formative years. Then the time comes when mama gets to be kid of old fashioned in our eyes and we seek advice elsewhere. However, when mama is no longer around, she is the one we always wish was around so we can talk to her. That's what love for mama's does to us. Love your mother. she won't be around for ever!

She has her own life experience. You have yours. She's not going to be an expert at everything and you are the only expert when it comes to your own life.

Sometimes, since she's older. But somtimes her opinion isnt advice that can be applied to your beliefs. And sometimes old-fashioned isn't the way to go.

Thank you. It was quite a loss. She died before I graduated, became married and had children. If I become half the woman she was I will be happy.

In regards to some things. I don't agree with the views of many parents but I would fare better if I listened to mine a little more.

not mine!...and I found out the TRUE reason why...three months before she died my mother told, what she thought was a 'funny' story...

She told how when i was born, and they placed me in her arms...she started to cry and pushed me back to the nurse and through her tears said..

"this isn't my child....please bring me my baby girl..i want my baby girl!!!"
