I don't completely agree with that saying anymore; mostly, but not completely. If you don't have money, you end up on the streets, and that's not happy. But for the most part, money doesn't even buy me contentment really. I find the things I do that don't cost anything give me more satisfaction. But that's just me.

Let's face it, without money we would all be up #@$%* creek without a paddle. Money is the
passport in this material world and we all need it to survive and be comfortable. It does buy a lot
of contentment and the simple things in life like good food and clothing on our back and a decent place to live. It's when it becomes a fixation and a LOVE for it that greed and envy set in.

life food clothing decent live fixation love greed envy the love of money is the root of all evil

Money can buy happiness. If you have a big windfall, just think of the good you can do with it.
Build an factory and employ people, sponsor a charity that does good work, pay for scholarships to brainy kids that have the misfortune to be born in the ghetto. Ultimately it's what YOU do with the money that brings you happiness,,,,,, but first you need the money LOL

Money cannot buy happiness. A man with a hundred million dollars is no happier than a man with just 50 million dollars !

Well, I was once a multi millionaire, and now I am broke, and I was happy then and I am happy now. Can't let stress control ones life, its short, very short so enjoy every minute whether you have money or not.... That's my answer...

I believe that the lack of financial security can cause problems that can limit the possibility of being happy, however I also believe that financial security alone can only bring temporary happiness.
