As a peach-fuzz kid, I couldn't wait to shave. Now I loathe it.

I didn't have a favorite. I'd vary. Aqua Velva, Nivea, Bay Rum, Hai Karate, Old Spice, Mennen Skin Bracer.

When I started shaving, there was a big ad campaign started for this new product called Hai Karate, so I was curious enough to try it out.

I am very partial to Old Spice and Aqua Velva, but my dad used to use Vitalis and I LOVED that scent.

On my man my favorite was Aqua Velva. The other two were Old Spice, and I loved the smell of English Leather! Thanks for the memories! :)

I'm with you, I hate to shave everyday. I think the first after-shave I applied to my face was my step-father's Aqua Velva.

I've never smelled Aqua Velva, LIzard King. I guess it's a good sign that the only scent I know is Canoe. LOL I've been smelling it for almost 36 years.

Anything that smells fresh and clean with a touch of something darker and sexy smelling. That'll get me going every time. IF I like the guy.

i don't use after shave - it burns ... when i've got it i like expensive french cologne ... my wife tries to get me free samples from the store, and those work just fine for me.

I never actually used an after shave, and I never used shaving cream. My dad never taught me how to shave, had to kind of teach myself. I shave with just a straight razor and water, and come out just fine

I dont think after shave is a must or needed in most cases.
I cant help but notice how all these products used women as a way to market their brand, except for Nivea.

When I was young, the girl I was dating gave me a Polo gift set that included some after shave. I found out that after shave breaks me out. It's too painful and I won't try it again.

Aftershaves came in colors, usually blue or green, sometimes yellow back then, but not too many flavors. We called them "smellies". My mom used to set some out in decorative bottles in the bathrooms. My dad must have used it, but I don't recall ever seeing him use it or smelling it on him. I used to put some on when I was too young to shave, but never really used any. I did receive some Hai Karate, some Brut, and some Bay Rum when I started shaving in HS, but don't really recall using any of it. Maybe for a date. I usually only shaved when it was football or wrestling season, anyway.

None, I can't stand the smell of it and all it does is burn your skin. I use an electric shaver, completely dry.
