I eat meat, but there is something to be said for being vegetarian. the lower fat diet is probably healthier, but God put animals here so we could eat some of them.....so I choose meat daily.

Whatever you like, as long as you're eating it all in moderation and staying healthy. If you eat a ton of meat, you have to watch cholesterol and fat intakes. Conversely, if you don't eat meat, you'd have to make sure you're getting foods high in iron, B12, and protein or getting vitamin supplements. Neither is better, it's just personal choice.

Humans are omnivores, we are capable of surviving on either or both. What matters is that you get all of your vital nutrients, it doesn't matter if you get that from an herbivorous, omnivorous, or carnivorous diet, just so long as you get them.

I know for a fact I wouldn't give up meat. There are just some things in meat you can't get in vegetables. And if it's all the same to you I'd rather not be chomping down on man made supplements to get those nutrients. I find eating a healthy mix of both the best. The argument for cruelty does not apply well in this case.

You do what ever floats your boat. The thing I don't like is when Vegans raise their children with no meat protein. I've known several vegan families...the kids were always scrawny (difference between healthy slim and skinny!) Their skin was transparent...it was icky. They were always sickly too. Choose what you want as an adult, but Homo Sapiens is still an omnivore. We have canine teeth for a reason. Don't deprive your babies of meat. They need it.

Kids can get all the protein they need without meat or dairy products. It takes some work and research, but if the parents know something about nutrition, then there is no reason to have sickly or scrawny children.
