Obama was speaking to the Congressional Black Caucus, what makes you think he was directing his remarks to anyone else? Allot of us recognized the elitist ignorance in the "cling to guns and religion" remark made in the 2008 campaign. It is good to see you got a good enough taste of this arrogance to at least become curious of his attitude towards Black Americans. Maybe now you will begin to realize, Obama could care less about the crippling unemployment in our black communities. If he did, he would be sitting down with Republicans and working on a compromise to to ease the suffering in lieu of using it as a divisive campaign to get reelected.
Excerpts From AP Article
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rep. Maxine Waters says she's not sure who President
Barack Obama was talking to when he told black Americans to quit
complaining and follow him into the battle for jobs and opportunity.
The California Democrat, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus,
says she found the president's language "a bit curious." She says Obama
didn't address Hispanics in such a blunt manner and would never use that
language in a speech to a gathering of gays or Jews.

The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are
the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually
beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

Shigyrl but outspoken on my... 2011/09/27 15:38:01+30Maxine does not get it. Obama could care less about black people. He was essentially saying shut up fall in line and take what scraps you are given.

Bingo!! You can directly apply that statement to many, many politicians of the 20th century as well as today. I'd have to say the first and most important tie would be Woodrow Wilson with his creation of the Fed and the 16th Amendment.
The republicans are certainly not innocent either. The most recent horror I can recall off the top of my head would be Graham Leach Bliley. Creating the Too Big To Fails, repealing Glass Stegall all at the behest of the then Citigroup, who was already in violation of Glass Stegall and needed the law repealed so the could move forward after the merger with Travelers.
Now, the ironic part. Disgusting part actually. As is seen with many of ill intent, the guilty party actually tries to deflect proper perception of the situation and turns the innocent into the 'guilty', blaming them for the very wrong that they themselves are doing. Kinda like the pathological liar or cheating spouse that turns the whole situation around on the other person. Makes you question your own sanity for a moment until you clear their sm...

These sons of female dogs actually call the TEA Partiers fascists. The very movement that threatens to stop their fascist takeover. Nothing could be further from the truth and it makes me so angry that these bastiges are not called on the carpet for their absolute criminal behavior and attempted deception.
Too bad Maxine isn't smart enough, nor honest enough to come full circle and repent on her past idiocy.
I know she's dropping F and N bombs to her friends and staff when she talks about Obama...
I wonder if some of those who have supported him are now about to get the smack down laid upon them for questioning him ???
