Mass Pakistan Protests Kill 17: Who Wins the Best Protester Award?

Sad news continues in the Middle East. Islamic supremacists continue to kill people in the name of Allah. Unfortunately, we've grown accustomed to radical Islamists rioting and killing people.

Anyway, because I want to enjoy Friday, let's turn to happier thoughts -- which of the non-religious fanatic protest groups should win the "Good Protester" award?

Civil Rights Activists: Liberal, Conservative, Feminist, Caveman....

Sports Fanatics and Hooligans: European Football (Soccer), Vancouver Canucks, LA Lakers, synchronized swimming....

WTO OWS Labor Union Socialists: self explanatory. Funny how they put more effort into protesting than working.

I disqualified religious fanatics because they would certainly lose. I know that not all religions protest as violently as the Islamists. Charlie Hebdo, a French cartoonist, drew a satirical cartoon of a nude Mohammed. The Islamists fire-bombed his publishing company. Mr. Hebdo also drew a cartoon mocking Pope Benedict XVI, but the Catholics didn't riot. Catholics barely protested when the government forced them to dispense condoms in their Churches.

People need to respect free speech as much as we should tolerate our differences of opinion. We do not all submit to a single religion, faith, or non-faith.
