Who doesn't love a good cupcake? But we can only image the sadness that overcomes you when all that yummy frosting is gone within the first few bites and all you're left with is... well... basically, a muffin. It's not fun. But apparently, it can be prevented.

Evidently, we've been eating cupcakes wrong our entire lives! In its article "23 Reasons Why May Is Going to Be the Best Month Ever," Buzzfeed lists the below photos as the No. 1 reason why the month of May will be so awesome. Because now we know how to properly eat a cupcake! What the heck took so long, America?! Now that we know, we don't think we can ever go back to the humdrum way of traditional cupcake eating. Do you think this is how a cupcake should really be eaten?

Seems like a lot of hooplah to eat a cupcake.

No, I just cram the whole thing in my mouth, chew a few times and then swallow.

Seriously breaking apart a crumbly cupcake with icing all over it in half and eating it like that will cause more of a mess than it's worth. Who eats a cupcake icing top first and leaves the stump anyway?? You peal off some of the paper and take a bite vertically so you get a bite top to bottom getting icing and cake duh! You get the same result without a crumbled up cake and icing all over your hands and icing getting getting squeezed out the sides. bite of a cupcake

If it's a good cupcake, and you aren't a slop, it won't be a crummy mess! lol

Lol well if the cupcake is real crummy and the icing is runny, it will be. But a good, thick cupcake wouldn't do that lol

EXACTLY! !!!......not rocket science. It's a freakin CUPCAKE! You described the technique perfectly. You peel back the paper on one side holding the cake by the papered side.VERTICAL bites =icing with every bite. ;)

The best way to enjoy a cupcake is to have one with a friend or loved one.

I have to admit that makes a lot of sense. I don't get the cupcake craze though. I'm not really a fan of cake and much prefer pie. I don't like sweet and insubstantial things and that is how cupcakes seem to me.

There is no wrong way to eat a cupcake as long as you throw the wrapper away properly. Other than that no rules.
