You!

So since singer Cee Lo was unable to use the original lyrics of his popular song "F*** You" on "The Colbert Report," Stephen Colbert suggested some alternatives. The rest is history.

Definite LOL for me. What about you?

you mean the truth that fox news pumps millions into the republican party and that they are and have always been a political advertisement agency and not a news station?
  • Poppa B... StreetS... 2010/11/11 17:51:02
    Poppa Blues
The truth is their ratings are so high because they are the only news program reporting the truth. Do you think only liberals speak the truth? Do you think liberals don't take corporate money? Do you think the liberal media doesn't have questionable financing by people like George Soros? Wake up man!

jerry springer had high ratings too because he marketed himself to the lowest common denominator and encouraged his guests to lie and overreact, fox news does the exact same thing.

the difference is that liberal media openly discloses their contributions, whereas fox's second largest stockholder is a saudi royal who has a vested interest in upsetting iraq and iran's economy and oil production.
  • Poppa B... StreetS... 2010/11/11 18:17:55
    Poppa Blues
So Fox markets to this country's lowest common denominator? And that just happens to be the majority of the country? If Fox doesn't disclose their contributions how is it that you know who the largest share holder is? Besides why should anyone be required to disclose who they contribute to? Don't you think people have a right to be protected from those in power? Would you want the white house under Bush to know you were contributing to the democrats? Would this be a real concern if you were a government employee, or relied on government contracts for a living?

yes, they are sensationalist and care very little for actual truth. the national deficit is down twenty percent from last year and most of america got a tax cut last year, for example. these black and white facts will never be uttered on fox.

we know about fox's saudi owner because jon stewart (voted america's most trusted journalist) broke the story during the height of fox's anti-muslim cultural center rhetoric.

even fox's own vp has said that most of their programming is commentary and not news. would you support a candidate who refuses to let the public know who they are truly indebted to? under bush, contributors were made to disclose their funding to political candidates - it was the supreme court under the current administration that allows unlimited donations from unknown sources.

how is allowing corporations to buy our representatives protecting people from those in power?

unless you are one of the wealthiest one percent of americans, you are acting against your own interests by believing fox's lies.

Don't forget Obama admonished the court on national TV at the state of the union for upholding the decision to allow unlimited contributions. It was the democrats that attempted to use the ruling to their advantage in the elections claiming foreigners were buying influence and controlling the elections. It was the democrats that tried to pass a law bypassing the decision of the courts called the Disclose Act. I believe in supporting freedom. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe everyone has a right to pursue happiness but not a guarantee to the result. Life isn't fair my friend some people will do better than others so why should they be punished? Freedom is in my interest, less government is more freedom. Open your eyes!

Actually there was plenty of government oversight but of course it was inefficient, ineffective and corrupt. You see that's what happens when you give others power and authority to make decisions for YOU that you could better make for yourself. Little by little government is intruding on you, taking decisions away from you and growing itself consuming more of your wealth all under the pretense of making YOUR life better and yet it continues to fail and when it does it always offers more government as the solution and takes more of your money growing ever bigger, and this is what the left is fighting for? Do you really think that is the way to keep us free? You have much to learn my friend! I only hope the knowledge doesn't come the hard way.

I operate my own small business and I make the decisions when and where I spend my money. as I volunteer my services at the hospital of my choice, it's tax deductible and my refund check is quite substantial because of it.

considering it was the right that increased the government to an unprecedented rate during the last administration, I have to wonder why you believe doing the same thing would yield different results.

If you remember, the right was punished for expanding government! You see that's why the democrats got elected, but they mistook that as a mandate for socialism, unfortunately politicians aren't all that smart, but I think the right has got the message now, the left, well, they're a lost cause.

socialism like bush's bank bail out that we completely lost or socialism with oversight like obama's bail out which is already paid back?

you're really against socialism, huh? I kinda like having a military, police force, and a reliable infrastructure system that I can count on to supply me with clean water, power lines and waste management but maybe that's just because I live in civilization.

I agree that the left is a lost cause though, after all the republicans only did what they said they were going to do when they ruined our country; it was the dems that didn't lift a finger to stop them.

since the gop's new plan is identical to their old plan, what makes you think they got any message?

    Poppa Blues
Well, we'll have to wait and see, but I guarantee, if they resort to their old ways or compromise with the left, they will be gone in 2012.

For the record, the right also is for defense and clean water and air. We appreciate the police, and fire department. I think you should resserve judgement on Obama's financial reform bill though since wall street helped write it.

The song is awesome! Too bad it has to be dumbed down with, forget you or fox news.
The message of the song still resonates,it just looses a little sting with the wrong words.
