Just like men women prefer a variety of characteristics from culture to culture (a turban and facial hair? Really?), but I suppose the most favored ones relate in some way to strength, security, stability, attentiveness and sensitivity.

Women may be liberated now--and they may tell you they like 'metrosexual' guys--but biologically they are nesters. They drive over 'sensitive' guys on the way to the biker's bar to pick up a 'REAL' man. Above all other considerations they want men who will build, defend and maintain the roost. To go out and kill something and drag it home, cleaned, for supper.

And before you women out there drag out the flamethrowers, look down deep in your guts and tell me I'm not telling the truth. :-)

I like guys who are tough on the outside but deep down total sweethearts. Facial hair doesn't hurt either

...(many women) like men who provide security. No matter in which way (money, physical size, social position,...). Someone where they can hide their own shortcomings in self confidence and lack of independence.
They want a funny guy, that can be abused as an antidepressant for their own depressed moods.
These are the women of our time no use as a housewife anymore and no use as an independent citizen yet.
