John Lennon? all I can say is WOW! Paul Mcartney and his band Wings were quite good as well.

Honestly I always thought that the Beatles and John Lennon's music had minimal technical skill. I still don't understand why they're considered the greatest band ever (other than creating the stereotypical quartet with fangirls)

for me anyways if you read the top im not really a beatles fan either i liked john lennon alot because of who "he" was and not music and not offence but at 17 i wouldnt expect you to get it i dont and im alot older than you lol

I understand the personality aspect of it (which I really couldn't care less for either) but the musician aspect (which is what I'm looking at) is not so respectable for me.

maybe but simpler times meant simpler music its not fair to compare the complicated stuff we have now vs his stuff but if the simple stuff didnt come then the stuff we like now wouldnt have been quite so good i believe

good point but im thinkin the simplicity is actually what most enjoyed about it if you were around then it was a very stressful time in history and he made escape possible or at least a lil more tolerable anyways

I'll never forget the day he died,it was such a shock and I was listening to Double Fantasy at the time. I sat looking out of the window listening to it for the whole day crying a lot...
I think a lot of people did the same.

He's badly missed.!!

It's as simple as the killer being an attention-seeking, narcissistic psychopath. He had a list of famous people who would have fit the bill. John just happened to be accessible.
Doesn't seem like a good enough reason, does it? But, then again, there is no good reason that exists. It's just a tragic shame.
