I carry a large handbag with lots of contents. Yes, it is heavy. I've had many people take it in hand and go "gosh - that's heavy".

At times it is ..
I keep my Devices that I use to 'read' things when I am in public in my Purse
(given my blindness .. I need these devices for sure)
Now there are also times where I do have more than that too ..
so depending on the day's activities ..
it will either be a bit lighter .. or heavier ..

I use my pockets as well. Very rarely do I use a purse & when I do, it's extremely light but yeah 99% of the time...pockets.

LOL you could actually use mine as a weight to exercise with! hah I have now gotten into the habit of grabbing just the things I need and throwing them into yet another bad to take with me. but, it's getting full, as I have a bad habit of throwing my mail into it now as well, so it doesn't get lost.

I work 12 hour night shifts. I live out of my purse when I'm at work. (which is all the time) It is packed full, I have meds, makeup, phone charger, nail file and clippers, even my iPad fits in that big purse. my husband is constanly amazed at the things I pull out of it LOL

Hello dear one..

I used to carry a tiny kitchen sink in my purse..So when someone would say you have everything but the kitchen sink in there..I would pull it out and say..I even have that too..

I HATE carrying a purse but I do at work and that is about the only place I go. It is sooo full of crap it could be considered a lethal weapon!

i guess im used to it, but when people pick up my purse, they are always like: what do you have in your purse? its so heavy!!" and i say: everything i need!" haha! i dont notice it, but they do!!:D

Yes, unfortunately. Those arm candies, especially the luxury ones, are heavy because they are made of top grain leather and the designers kept designing them bigger so we put everything but the kitchen sink in them. I get backaches occasionally from carrying one. Vanity enslaves me to these handbags. I feel naked without one of them things on my shoulder.
