Yes! This little comic graphic got it so right. I love me some Instagram sometimes, but this is exactly how most of the pictures are taken. Totally staged and not really enjoying the perfect moment like it seems! What do you think? Is this how Instagram photos are taken?

Unfortunately that is how most photos are taken. I still prefer the old-fashioned candid photos and chemical photography. No editing or censoring for PC, as the guy on Dragnet always said "just the facts mam".

I believe one of my friends has this exact scene on an instagram photo- except for a martini- it's an old fashioned...with a cat, on an 'artsy' table... I had to laugh and then shake my head at the sadness of it.

I don't think so. Usually, when group photos are taken with friends, everybody takes a pose and says cheese. And most are happy about this funny moment. And many pictures are spontaneous - it is just a question to catch the right moment.

But many photos for magazines and newspapers are all made up with care, requiring long preparations and decorations, and I think that working as a photo model is not that easy. Also for the photographer, it takes much patience, careful planning and often many trials to get a good picture.
