Fat no, slightly overweight yes... Most Americans are these days, it's becoming the new average. It also depends on your build, for example according to BMI I am obese, although everyone in my family has a big German build.

But then, based on what I consider to be a sexy woman, I'm probably the wrong person to ask.

But she could end up that way if she is not careful. Seems she could use some toning. She is young and it is relatively easy to lose weight when you are young and reach excellent shape. Once you are old, it become much more difficult to lose weight and get conditioning.

But she is overweight, especially so for her height and her age. If she doesn't have a medical condition that is the reason behind her weight gain and it's because of her eatting habits or lack of exercise, maybe both then she will eventually become obese (fat) if she doesn't change her ways. I don't know why parents and people are telling kids and teenagers these days that it's fine and to sooner accept being overweight and their bodies as they are rather then encouraging them to eat healthy and exercise especially if they are unhappy. If they are overweight themselves then maybe they should start doing activities together to start getting in shape. Noone says you should look like a runway model, just be healthy.

She is really beautiful. This why kids have low self esteem just because they have a little stomach and people make them feel like a blimp.Tell her she is and always will be beautiful and if people tell her other wise they are blind and she doesn't need fake people in her life.Side note I am 24 and 5'5 and I am 130 and I am not fat.

The girl in the picture is fat.
5'4" and 133 lbs does not sound like fat, though. If she's worried that she's on the bigger side of her healthy weight, maybe just keep an eye on how much junk she eats and be sure to get regular exercise, but I'd see no reason for a lifestyle change.

My daughter was about the same size but weighted 140 to 150 lbs and let me tell you she was not fat. She was all muscle and when she collided with other players on the soccer field, it was generally them who went crashing down. But that took a lot of conditioning. She ran a lot and took up Yoga. Now she is gaining a litle weight but she still looks good.

That girl probably just needs to take up soccer. That will get her in condition.

Your daughter weighed so much BECAUSE of muscle... if the child is that active, then she is not likely fat.

True and it the best thing they can do. Won't always be able to do it so might as well enjoy it when you can.

Not at all. That's average and healthy for her age. I'm about the same height and weight and the same age but I'm not fat. I don't look it and I don't feel it. Tell her to start appreciating her body because soon other ppl will notice how she feels about herself and take advantage of that.

Edit - Oh and she's still growing!!! Everything will fall into place within the next few years!!

That's for sure trying to get back in shape is rough. I tok today off from my routine cause the knees ache from too much yesterday. 1 hour on stationary bike & 45 min on Xl glider & an hour w/ free weights and power cord and then 40 min walk down the hill and back up.

Well really so of it is not our fault. It's said people are most likely to eat more if they are depressed. So if we get depressed by life or some type of crap like that.......... I'm not good with words unless its an essay. But you do get my point. For some people its a metabolism thing others parent thing others defiance thing. The list goes on.

You see them as excuses i see them as explanations

I understand your few but we can't always look at the calories on a box. We might from time to time not always. We go by the cover. If it says improves so and so. we take it

Secondly i do understand depression is not an excuse but we can't always help what we do when we're sick.

Hey we aren't the ones making the products. I don't work out at all.Too much stuff i have to do. Candy, soda etc Are always in my fridge. And the discipline thing i think it's really about effort and laziness. I could easily start working out if i wasn't so lazy and busy. See i see my time on books, school, jobs, college, sports, family, friends, competitions, competition, etc. My schedule can be booked for at least 2-3 months in advance. Fitting exercise in there is hard. Yeah i bicycle from time to time but that's only if i have to.

Also there is an EXPLANATION for everything. Having the time for a jog or a walk or a run is really hard. especially with people working 2-3 jobs, taking care of kids, taking care of parents....... I think priorities go in a long list. Exercising is up there but it is not number 1 and might not be even 2 or 3.
