  IT was a stipid show--awful!!it is NOT even in the same league as "All in the Family, MASH, Happy Days, The Bob Newhart Show, Sanford and Son, GiIligan's Island, The Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy, F Troop, The Odd Couple, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Married....With Children, Freinds, Dobbie Gillis, Father Knows Best, The Doris Day Show, Leave it to Beaver, Gomer Pyle-USMC, and ,of course, the Andy Griffith Show were all much more funnier and had more class that Seinfeld.

  I watch two or three times a week because there's nothing else on and I do think it's funny but I cannot say it's the funnest sitcom ever aired.

  Seinfeld is one of the funniest ever, but I'm not sure it is number 1. I love the show, but it is starting to look and sound a little dated. I think Modern Family might be funnier, but it's a little early in the run to make that decision.

  Will & Grace is the funniest US sitcom I think, Friends in it's day was brilliant, and we have some excellent sitcoms in the UK!! :)

  Some shows were funnier, but Seinfeld did it so well, so often, for so long, I think the title is merited.

  I always loved "Newhart". This was the one set in Vermont, Bob owned an Inn and they had a crew of characters, like Larry and the Darryls, Stephanie the heiress maid, the caretaker, the towns people etc. It was a thinking person's comedy because some of the comedy was so subtle. I wish someone would bring in back in re-runs or at least put out CDs so we could buy it.

  Don't know what others will say .. (I couldn't stand this show .. it was AWFUL .. and only watched one episode to be polite at a house I was visiting .. )
  
  But seriously .. there's been plenty of shows that are so much more .. humorous .. down through the decades of my life .. and it is many of these classics that I thoroughly enjoyed ..
  
  (good examples .. I Love Lucy, Three Stooges, Golden Girls (to name three right away) ..

  It's definitely one of my favorites. I also like The Big Bang Theory, The Golden Girls, Two and a Half Men (with Charlie), Scrubs, The Office, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and South Park (that counts, right? lol).
