Religion is a tool used by men to control the minds of other men for his own sake, a way to suck money and personality out of one's life, a tool used numerous times throughout history as a weapon of war to give nations an advantage over other "inferior" nations. A tool which is now about to break.

Faith, however, is completely different. It gives men hope and comfort just as religion does, but doesn't suck the personality out of them the way religion does. If anything, it GIVES men personalities of their own.

Religion is not only a personal choice, it is an often negative force influencing the political vote and public policy.

I think religion needs to be criticised like any other aspect.

Not quite what I meant. I feel less stressed out because theological concepts and their implications had always been unsettling to me, and because I no longer worry about the idea of anybody going to hell. I no longer wonder why I don't feel moved by prayer, and I feel like the master of my own destiny.

We all shall live, or we all shall die! from St Paul...I do not believe we die and go to hell. I believe we suffer on earth for sins of all! Wish there was the power to be the master of our own destiny! Guess we just have to have the best attitude we can!
