When in the process of trying their scams ..
(sorry to put it this way, but many times it IS a scam)

they go to Rural Areas .. open the Farm Gates and let the livestock out of the barns, corrals, grazing areas ..

This is totally a terrorist tactic .. in terms of both ..
damage to the farming/ranching/livestock industry itself
and to the Animals (which they purport to want to save)
these animals are NOT able to live on their own and rely completely on humans for their shelter, food, etc .. this is abusive, irresponsible, destructive and HARMFUL to the livestock for sure ..

    And .. interestingly enough ..
I was traveling .. in a city and met up with a family member ..
the PETA rep was out on the sidewalk with a board, a scanner and doing a spiel ..
it was with curiosity that I listened ..
(this one didn't even know where folks were from ..
I happened to be FROM the area they were talking about in their spiel)
    and ..
I made sure to specifically .. clearly .. loudly ..
    state ..
"You know what .. I am FROM that area .. PETA is not there ... has NEVER been there .. not one PENNY ever provided to the area for any thing at all .."
I asked the person if they were being paid ..
(which I never got an answer to)
so I reported this as a SCAM to the Local Law Enforcers ..
obviously .. I am very aggravated by SCAMMERS trying to be out in public and steal income from individuals ..

I wouldn't call it a terrorist organization, but definitely not mainstream. They are over-zealous and out of touch with reality, like so many fringe groups.

Some of their actions are terrorist. They've stormed research facilities and let out all the animals. Putting lab animals out in the wild to die is less humane than the quick death in research. I don't like animal research, but what they've done is even more cruel.

They're on the DHS list of domestic terrorists. They go to dog shows & open crates resulting in dogs getting hit by cars and other ill fates. They let farmed animals loose to starve to death. They break into offices and destroy years of research. They would just as soon nobody had pets. They are such hypocrites for killng most of their animals.

I don't know if I'd categorize them as a 'terrorist organization'...

BUT...if you were to throw red paint on somebody....

    peta

because you were 'exposing' them as a "COMMUNIST"...

you would be labeled as a domestic terrorist who committed a 'hate crime'...sooooo

If those two did that to me both of them would have been wearing those buckets on their heads. Who the heck are they to think they can destroy property like that?!

Letting out animals, even to prevent animal research from being done is cruel and worse than the research they say they're preventing. You just let an animal loose to starve or be killed less humanely and say you're an animal lover? Not in my book. Bah, humbug to the PETA idiots.

"Terrorist" is a bit extreme, but they are definitely much more than a disruptive nuisance.
It's disappointing, since I generally support their cause, but they go way too far.
Also, they kill many animals in their shelters, too, rather than rehabilitate them for adoption.

I cannot stand them, I am not a animal activist and I think they go way overboard. I find it odd that Americans spend 60 billion a year on pets, when there are 45 million children in poverty in this country. I am appalled by the fact that we have 29000 children die a day because of disease and starvation and yet a group like PETA still functions. Sad commentary on society.
