Is it fair for a friend of yours to ask you to delete another friend because the two of them dislike one another?

No it isn't fair. I do find that one of the worst things about sodahead though, the likelihood that two of my friends don't like each other. I find it difficult to cope with a situation where one person is nice to me but I have seen him/her be really nasty to another friend of mine. In that case then I do tend to want to delete the one who was nasty, but it can be awkward.

I had only one friend ask me to delete one of my other friends. He said if I didn't he wouldn't be friends with me any longer. So I kept the one friend and the one issuing the ultimatum is no longer a friend. In fact he has me blocked. So much for friendship, you think? lol

What a loser. A real friend does not issue ultimatums. Some people don't seem to mature past grade three.

No way. It sounds as if the person making the request is terribly insecure.

No. Your friend has to deal with the fact that they are not your only friend.
    Have a good one !

I guess if there is an earnest concern, it could be possible. Because I don't like seeing my friends treated badly or something. So I may say something if that was happening. But it would be in a kind manner and not demanding or anything.

It's not surprising that the question is asked by some here. That said it's never been asked of me. I have several friends here who do not agree with me. They laugh when I am silly or stupid and rave when they do agree. They debate, argue and it's all ok!

I do not block. But when some here make ASSumptions they get what they get!

Hecky No, I've fallen out with a couple of people, but I would never ask even a supporting mutual friend to dumped them. When someone does that, they're demonstrating the traits of a bully and those are the type of people who rubs me the wrong way.

I generally don't get into battles, but if someone makes a decision to jump on, bully, demonize, kick in the head, trash one of my friend I may, although it's rare. I'm not saying it's right but that's just me, because I have a sincere disgust for BULLIES.

Thanks, friend, I agree. I think he was just trying to control me or bully me whichever, it didn't work. And when I see a friend being bullied I will jump in too, I'm very loyal to my friends, and I would never ask one of them to delete someone, their friends are their business.

As my Dad once told me, "fight your own battles". Therefore, I try to stay out of other peoples battles.
