I believe that the truth, or rather the honest search for the truth, is always more important than political correctness. If the truth upsets people, well, that's too bad, because we can't change reality to make them feel better about themselves.

Question is phrased as if one is "less truth" than the other - Not true.

PC is simply "word power"

There is no more truth in calling someone a bad or derog thing just because YOU can't use a better word.
While some PC nonsense goes too far,... people really need to get a clue and maybe buy a thesarus.
