We're soul twins, except she's the postive twin and I'm the negative one. People tend to like her more, shes the funnier prettier one with the BEST boyfriend ever and a great family and idk...
Here is a mantra for you to repeat: Don't sweat the small stuff, don't sweat the small stuff, don't sweat the small stuff.....say that quietly at least 1000 times....and when in doubt, repeat.
Stop worrying and obsessing over things that will have virtually no meaning 3 or so years from now.... You said that you had a desire to serve God in a certain capacity, right? If you are to follow that path...how can you be distracted from it by worrying about popularity, being the funnier one, and worrying about who has the best of anything...
Have you ever stopped to think....that those who have all the great and smarmy wonderful things when they are under their parents roof...don't run into a wall of reality... when they become adults and have to face life...all of it, including carrying their own weight when before all they may have had to do was ask for it or bat their eyelashes at daddy or pout at mommy?
Not having and not worrying about those things...you are more real, and since you have thought about them...you are already aware of the angst that comes from not having them....bottom line.... you will be better prepared to cope with life, or fail. But that is up to you. If you believe that God has a plan for you....be open to that plan, and more than likely it doesn't include many earthly non-essentials.... :->
instead of being envious of what they have... you should be happy for them. There are qualities that you have or even possessions others wish that they had. It is normal, but being jealous or envious of another leads to pain and heartache.
