It depends on the cause of the anger and how angry they made you, but in some circumstances, refusing to speak to someone is perfectly alright.

I wouldn't do it to someone, but others have done it to me. Two Sodaheads are doing that to me right now. If I don't do as they say, they won't talk to me again. I don't do well with ultimatums. lol

I guess it is, because every single person I know that voted for the messiah has quit talking to me.never mind the fact That I never brought up any discussion of him or his politics.And i was always pretty diplomatic about changing the subject.
More than disagreeing about him or his nightmarish regime ,It is almost like they feel ashamed or even guilty for being such asses.
What ever it is, I guess it is better not talk to them or be around them.I can also see the same result coming this time because I am voting for Ron Paul.But this time I have no desire to hold my tongue.
